Welcome to Shipra’s Office

Life demands so much of you.

Working, sometimes multiple jobs, going to school, raising children, caring for aging parents, daily responsibilities of paying bills and scheduling dentist appointments, house maintenance, and caring for your partner or obtaining companionship.  Trying to maintain some semblance of a social life. It is easy to forget that you and your personal well-being are supposed to be a number one priority.

You push yourself in so many ways and directions, and many people have no clue the battles you overcome on a daily basis. You are capable of so many things, but it is easy to feel overwhelmed, overworked and overlooked.

Reorganizing & Prioritizing

The juggling act that you’ve been maintaining has been impressive, but you need to feel purpose, passion, drive and satisfaction in your life.

You are in need of some “me-time.” A re-ordering of your to-do list, and the opportunity to put yourself first. You need the chance to address the fatigue, the lack of boundaries, the lack of fulfillment and dissatisfaction that you experience. Because when all of the obligations stop pulling at you, you sit with yourself. And you feel in need of something more out of life.

Happiness and fulfillment are possible for you.

How do we get there?

Through evidence-based methods, a therapeutic relationship and a lot of compassion.  I can help you to envision and create action steps towards a more balanced and gratifying life. I specialize in helping adolescents and adults who are struggling to strike the right balance with their competing responsibilities. Through my person-centered approach, I will help you identify your strengths and unique value. Through our work together, you will learn how to spend more time doing the things that make you feel your best, and less time feeling exhausted and stretched in too many directions.

You will discover your self-efficacy, increase your self-esteem and learn to fully embrace your contribution to different roles that you occupy in your life. In our work, you will understand and acknowledge your own wonderful ability to cope with the challenges of life.

If you find yourself in a space where you are ready for a change, where you know that things cannot continue the way they have been going, we are the right fit for one another.  Give me a call at 502.333.9466

About Me

I was born in Pink City Jaipur, in Rajasthan which a state located in North Western part of India.  My first language is Hindi and my second is English.  My parents were my inspiration for career choice as both of them were devoted in professions which are considered noble in India. My mother is a Doctor in academics, and my father is a Doctor in Medicine. They taught me to be caring, respectful, and hardworking in the work I do, and to contribute to welfare of society.

I grew up watching people struggle with mental health challenges and struggle to find help in a world where mental health was seen as a taboo.  I did my schooling from St. Xavier’s, where during my middle school phase a pastor joined the school who had finished his degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston University. As I observed how he started providing support to teachers, parents, and especially students in making healthy and successful adjustments by resolving the challenges they were facing. I noticed improvement in the approach and perspective of parents, students, and in me when I started seeking counseling. This experience marked the inception of my career choice to become a Mental Health Professional. My goal is always focused upon supporting people in their process of healing from psychological anguish, environmental challenges to their healthy & productive adjustment, and in their personal mental health challenges. I carry the humanitarian values in my approach to work, and attending skills are groomed by Carl Roger’s person centered style which includes values such as empathy, genuine care, concrete ness, non-judgemental, and provision of comfortable environment to client.
