About Joy Whitmore,

CSW

Welcome to Joy’s Office

You have searched all over for someone who can help…

You have been to other professionals, you’ve tried talking to your family, friends and trusted members of your community. Still, you find that there has been no relief. Your family and their well-being mean more to you than anything, but it feels like those relationships are the thing that is most out of your control. It feels like it’s been forever since you weren’t in this by yourself, struggling, and barely hanging in there.

You have a partner in your journey.

No matter how complicated and layered your situation may be, I am willing to be a partner in your search: A trusted confidant, a skilled clinician and a compassionate and safe space. None of us are meant to journey alone, and while my job is not to save anyone, I know the value of having someone who is willing to be patient, create understanding and apply effort and time-proven techniques to truly help alleviate the weight. I have helped many work through years of hardships and unfortunate circumstances and find healthy ways to interact with one another and develop boundaries that are safe and meaningful.

Whether you are coming into my office as an individual, a couple or a family of 7, WE will work together.

About Me

I have been working in the mental health field for 15 years. I am credentialed as a CSW. I am certified in Trauma-focused CBT and Grief-Loss CBT. I have worked and treated individuals from ages 5-65 with anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance abuse, domestic violence survivors, abandonment issues, low self-esteem and self-worth struggles.

Counseling is not the ceiling for self development but apart of the standard. There is room for joy and fun in developing your best self.
